Compliance and legal notice
How product claims and project roles are documented.
Astergrid supplies transformers through project-specific quotations. The proposed configuration, certification applicability, manufacturing origin and delivery responsibilities are documented for each project.
What this means for a buyer
- Product claims should identify the model, configuration, production location, and evidence they cover.
- Technical deviations and unresolved compliance questions should be visible before acceptance.
- The quotation and transaction documents should name the seller, importer of record, delivery owner, service scope, and warranty provider.
Quotation framework
A project quotation should identify the quoted product and configuration, manufacturer and production location, price and lead time, open technical or compliance items, and the parties responsible for sale, import, delivery, service, and warranty. Engineering approval, certification decisions, and buyer acceptance remain with the responsible parties.
Advertising and substantiation
Public statements must be truthful, not misleading, and supported by evidence appropriate to the claim. Conditions, exclusions, and material limitations should appear near the relevant statement rather than only in the footer. Manufacturer names, trademarks, and product images are published only with written authorization.
UL and NRTL references
Astergrid is not an NRTL, testing laboratory, or certification body. A UL file, certificate, or report reference must be tied to the applicable product, standard, scope, manufacturing location, model or construction, and marking authorization. A certificate image does not establish that every SKU may bear a certification mark.
Third-party certification marks may not be displayed without the required authorization and must not imply certification of Astergrid, the website, or unrelated products.
DOE distribution-transformer requirements
DOE applicability is not a website-level claim. The responsible manufacturer and transaction parties must confirm whether a product falls within the current distribution-transformer definition, which test procedure and efficiency standard apply, and which certification and recordkeeping requirements must be satisfied for the specific model and date.
Country of origin and U.S. claims
The actual manufacturer and country of origin should be disclosed in qualification and transaction documents. This site does not state or imply that imported equipment is made in the United States. Any future U.S.-origin statement must satisfy the applicable FTC standard and customs requirements.
Engineering, code, and buyer acceptance
Website content does not replace project specifications, a licensed Professional Engineer, the authority having jurisdiction, an NRTL, utility requirements, buyer engineering review, installation instructions, or final technical acceptance.
Seller, importer, customs, service, and warranty
Astergrid supplies equipment under project-specific quotations and order documents. Importer-of-record, installation, field-service and warranty responsibilities are assigned in writing for each transaction; equipment supply alone does not establish those additional roles.
No guaranteed result
The site does not guarantee certification, regulatory compliance, utility approval, approved-vendor status, quotation, order, lead time, import clearance, project acceptance, service coverage, warranty recovery, market access, or revenue.
